The Ryan Grant Team and Grant Team Wishes are Volunteering at The Second Harvest Food Bank on Tuesday November 14th to help end hunger in Orange County.
The Ryan Grant team members can be found in the volunteer hub supporting the cause in a variety of ways such as sorting through produce and packaging and preparing the food for distribution into the local Orange County community.
Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County, Inc. has 180 community partners including soup kitchens, churches, senior homes, and food pantries. The organization selects the best food from the distribution center in Irvine that can be distributed to the community and help end hunger.
Volunteers make up 40% of the workforce at this event so each and every person makes a huge impact and helps this event be successful.
Grocery stores donate food that isn’t “pretty” enough to go on the shelf but is still edible which the organization calls Grocery Rescue. Volunteers then sort and distribute this food to local partners, helping to make sure people don’t go hungry!
How you can help?
Volunteer days are Tuesday-Saturday and the Harvest Food Bank of Orange County has 2 shifts or “Volunteer events” every morning. These run from 8:30am-11:30am and from 12:30pm-3:30pm. (Fridays only have the morning shift).
The Grant Team Wishes challenge you to get out and help out!!!
